Michael Allora Jr.
Michael received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina in 2011, picked up a nine to five gig afterwards as a research-based business executive in the restaurant service industry and began exploring bodily awareness through direct experience primarily as a form of mediational preparation and stress management. From asana practice, resistance training and long hikes with his beloved furry children, Michael seeks to learn and share lessons in creative movement through a deep mind-body connection founded in compassion. Using the breath to guide student’s through their own inner space in stillness and motion, this new Sadhana trained 200hr-RYT teacher provides a unique experience which will be sure to grow along with his students.
When difficult times arose, and every route had been exhausted, Gage turned his focus to health and wellness. After falling in love with the art of exercise, he decided to complete a certification in personal training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Gage felt his desire for fitness begin to plateau. While exploring alternative forms of exercise, he came across yoga. After developing his own practice and seeing the physical and mental changes that had taken place, he knew that he wanted to change the lives of people in the same way that changed his. Gage will be graduating the YTT program in June and is looking forward to spreading love, happiness, and health to everyone he encounters.
Joyce Stern has practiced Yoga for seven years. The joy and benefits have motivated her to participate in Sadhana’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. Joyce looks forward to incorporating all she has learned to help others experience the wonderful impact of Yoga.
With a background in teaching young children (All I Really Need to Know, I Learned in Kindergarten… right?), Nicole’s approach to yoga is one that honors the playful, childlike nature we all have deep inside of us. She recognizes the need for laughter and joy as we all walk this path of self-study together, and aims to incorporate both into her classes. Nicole began her own yoga journey with the Sadhana family in 2013 in an effort to ground down her high energy levels and strengthen awareness in both her body and mind. She is honored to be a part of the Teacher Training class of 2017 (and requests your presence at the June 4th graduation celebration… there is sure to be much laughter, joy, and love) and looks forward to creating a non-competitive, safe environment for all students to further explore their yoga practice. Nicole can be found eating, hiking, painting, reading, skipping, baking cookies, and project-making her way around North Jersey (September-June) and the world (July and August)!
Rachel’s practice began in earnest in 2015 when she started attending Sadhana as a beginner student. After seeing the difference and positive changes that her practice brought to her mind, body and spirit, she decided to join the Teacher Training program in 2016. As of June 2017, she is very excited to become an instructor and share her knowledge, experience and love of yoga with the students at Sadhana!

We work on unleashing the freedom stirring inside of you begging to be released.
Yoga allows a person to find so much strength and peace in his or her everyday life. This hope is what initially inspired Jenna to start taking different yoga classes, albeit sporadically, in 2009. It wasn’t until finally finding a home at Sadhana Yoga & Ayurveda a few years later that Jenna started making her practice a more regular one. Her decision to join Sadhana’s Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 was a completely personal (and selfish!) one as she wanted to better her own understanding and practice of yoga. Jenna brings this idea that yoga is personal for everyone to each class. She excels at using her intuition to help guide students to find what they each need that day, whether it is strength, peace or something else entirely.
As it so happens, yoga found Giuliana in 2015. During a period of time where it seemed as though there was no feasible road to travel, Sadhana Yoga & Ayurveda took her under their wing. Almost instantaneously she understood that yoga was going to be a foundational pillar in building a happy and healthy life. As she continued to grow and flourish with every practice, Sadhana’s 200hr YTT was an inevitable choice. Giuliana hopes to teach classes that have students feeling nourished, empowered, and full of self-love on and off their mats.
